The season will start May 11th with an after school meeting in the gym for all sports. The meeting with be from 2:40 - 3:15, so please arrange for transportation. You can start signing up for these sports now. You will need a parent/guardian PowerSchool account. You will need to make sure your Student Athlete has a physical on file in the office, they are good for 2 years. We will be competing against other Kennewick schools. We will allow spectators at games, however we are not sure exactly how this will look yet. Athletes will need to wear their mask at all times during practices. Outdoor sports, baseball will be allowed to remove their masks while competing in games/meets. Basketball and Wrestling must wear masks at all times during practices and games. Wrestling may have additional paperwork/requirements to participate. We are working with the district for guidance. We will still use hand sanitizer before and after practices and games. We will sanitize all equipment after each practice/game/meet. 21st Century & GEAR UP After School Program As a student at Highlands, your child has the opportunity to participate in the 21st Century After School Program with GEAR UP. Monday-Friday after school schedule: Tutoring with GEAR UP (6th and 7th Grade) and 21st Century (8th Grade): 2:35-3:45 p.m . *Snack provided during departure. School bus NOT available. Tutoring with GEAR UP (6th and 7th Grade) and 21st Century (8th Grade): 2:35-5:00 p.m. Scack provided, activities with 21st century. School bus available at 5:00 p.m. Sports Student Athletes only : 4:30-5:00 p.m. Snack and activities with 21st Century.
